The actual contol room from the Apollo 11 flight. Taken apart and relocated to the big Saturn V museum at NASA. Avoid this museum at all costs; though I will share some photos periodically.
Dedicated (ideally) to the discourse of ideas in a small attempt to vanquish ignorance and intolerance, but in practice...dedicated to random ramblings and photography.

Dude, that thing totally rocked, in my opinion. (You're talking the one at Cape Canaveral, yes?)
I guess I'm just a space geek.
Yep. We thought it was all a bit of a letdown. It was "Space for Dummies." Too many replicas. All the good (and real bits) are at the Smithsonian. It was also hot and their crowd control was lacking. While the Saturn V section was actually the best part, waiting on line for a bus was miserable and not worth the over-priced admission.
I feel it was geared towards kids and foreigners who don't know a lot about the space program. As someone who grew up on PBS, Discovery, National Geographic, and TLC there was nothing new for me.
It just was not a good day.
Perhaps it helped that we went in the off-season -- mid-November.
